Emma Lee Bunton, chanteuse britannique, est née le 21 janvier 1976 à Finchley, Londres. Petite, elle fait de la publicité. En 1993, elle fait partie de l'aventure Spice Girls ! Cinq jeunes filles sont recrutées par casting pour former un girlsband. Emma est la plus jeune du groupe, on la surnomme : Baby spice. Leur premier album cartonne avec le single : « Wanabee » qui reste en tête des charts européens durant de nombreuses semaines. Leurs deuxième opus : « Spiceworld » se vend également à des millions d'exemplaires ! Les filles enchaînent alors les tournées internationales et jouent dans un film retraçant leur vie en 1997.
Geri Halliwell quitte le groupe peu après. Les autres continuent l'aventure et sortent l'album : « Forever » en 2000. Puis les deux Mel entament une carrière solo. La baby spice vole à son tour de ses propres ailes, son premier album : « A Girl like me » sorti en 2001, connaît un succès relatif. On retiendra le premier single : « What Took You So Long ». En 2003, la belle récidive avec un nouvel opus aux accents sixties : « Free Me ».
